Jessica Richardson, DVM
I grew up on a ranch in the Southeast of Arizona, in a truck with my mother, a mobile equine vet. We were always busy with rescues and our 4-H/FFA projects (we raised horses, chickens, ducks, a couple pigs and even a cow!). So you could say veterinary medicine is in my blood. I went to ASU (Polytechnic and a Sun Devil for life!) for a degree in Applied Biological Science. From there, I ventured to California for my veterinary degree from UC Davis where I was able to work with wildlife and do research. Missing my family and my home state, I came back to Arizona after graduation. I was lucky enough to join FVC in June of 2017.
Outside of work, my menagerie (2 dogs, 4 cats, 1 cockatiel, 1 ball python, 1 guinea pig, and a bunch of fish), my significant other and his daughter, and a whole bunch of family take up my time. On the rare occasions we get to sit still for a few moments, I love cooking and reading, even occasionally knitting.
