Ariel Cooper, DVM
I was born and raised here in the Phoenix area. I grew up in a household of educators, and thought for a while that I wanted to be a teacher. However, when I was 10 years old I decided I wanted to be a veterinarian. It seemed like the perfect career for someone who loved animals, science and medicine, as well as allowing me a chance to connect with and educate other people. It was definitely the right career choice for me!
I attended the University of Arizona for my undergraduate education and graduated with a BS in Veterinary Science. I then attended veterinary school at Washington State University and earned my DVM. My specific areas of interest include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, feline medicine, and preventative care. After vet school I moved back to Arizona to be closer to my family, and in 2014, I joined Family VetCare.
Outside of veterinary medicine, I like to see plays and musicals, do yoga, play soccer, read, and spend time with my family and friends. I also love to spend time snuggling with my two cats, Sedona and Loki.
